The Artisan is a boutique cafe and micro roastery in the heart of Hastings. We have developed a reputation for incredible coffee, service and exceptional food. We offer an extensive range of fresh handmade breads and delicious cakes, including gluten free options. Customised catering is also available.
COFFEE
The Artisan is also a boutique micro roastery, which has been running since August 2014. Our house roast is a combination of Brazilian Cerrado and South American Honduras. They have delicious smooth nutty and chocolate characteristics with a balanced finish. We can supply beans or plunger coffee on request in 250grm, 500grm or 1kg bags.
CABINET FOOD
We have a large range of cabinet food available, including gluten free and vegetarian options. Our sandwiches are made fresh each morning from our artisan breads which are baked in the early hours. Our cakes are well known and also a little bit naughty…you won’t go away disappointed.

“The Artisan is a fabulous cafe to stop at for a delicately extracted coffee (beans air roasted onsite), a deliciously fresh sandwich (all of which are handmade onsite), or one of the delectable sweet treats from the chilled display cabinet (incredibly tempting).
You will be greeted with obliging smiles from an experienced team of lovely ladies who will assist you with your order, and who can offer alternatives for various dietary requirements.
If you are limited on time you can take your coffee away, or you can linger a while by taking a seat to enjoy the cafe’s atmosphere…once adequately replete, don’t forget to add a loaf of artisan bread and some freshly roasted coffee beans to your order for later on.”
